EDIT: The injury thing has been going on for a while, and as such there are several details that I tend to glaze over due to repetition that the uninformed may be unaware of.
I live on my own with my husband, and neither of us have a full time job. We both work part time to scrounge up enough money to make about what one person with a real career would, and as such neither of us have benefits. We barely make enough to pay the bills as it is, so there's no way we could afford to see a doctor without insurance. That said, we're looking into alternative insurance methods, but they make those things so absurdly complicated to apply for to keep abusers out that it's been difficult.
Also, a note about my job. I work retail at a Le Creuset outlet. For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, the company is known for its high-end (and heavy) enameled cast iron pots. The brand is great and I have no qualms there, but most of my job is selling these pots to customers. I have so far been able to get out of a lot of extra heavy lifting on the side (organizing and moving freight) and this has helped my healing process immensely, but the core of my job--fetching product for the customers I'm selling it to--is something I cannot get around. I work alone for half of my shifts, and I can't just tell the customer, "I'm sorry, I'd love to sell you this pot, but I can't lift it so too bad." We don't have sufficient staff to have someone working with me at all times (seeing as we've been understaffed since July which is why I have to work so much), and besides, doing so would render me utterly useless anyway. Hence why I'm trying to change jobs.
Sorry if some of my previous statements were a little unclear because I didn't include this. I also apologize if I sound a bit annoyed--I'm not frustrated with anyone who doesn't know, I'm frustrated that it's happened this way in the first place.
----------------------
Figured I'd offer a quick life update since I kind of fell off the side of the dA world right after NDK.
Not a week after NDK I re-injured my wrist, though, to be fair, I don't think it was really completely healed to begin with. Work is still such that the constant stress on the appendage is preventing effective healing, not to mention work is just long and often.
I'm currently trying to change jobs, but I'm sort of stuck in limbo right now so I don't know what will become of the situation. Ideally I'll start the new job soon, as it involves a lot less heavy lifting which will finally allow my wrist to get better. Will have to see what happens. @__@
Drawings are few and far between since most of my wrist's usefulness is expended at work and I have to spend the rest of my time resting, but I HAVE still been drawing. I don't think I ever mentioned it here before but I do have a Tumblr sketch blog. sotwnisey.tumblr.com/ I post there more often than the sketch dumps I do in my scraps here, and I post a lot of sketches that never make the cut to come over here too. If you want to see more of what I've been doing lately, feel free to check it out~
For better or worse, I'll keep moving from day to day and hopefully there'll be a pencil in my hand again soon.

2015 Commissions - Tax Season!
Thanks to tax season and car repairs all hitting at once, we’re a little short on rent this month. OTL As such, if you’ve been wanting a super-cute commission, now’s the time! We could use the help.
Due to my current situation, unlike my usual policy, I will require full payment up front for these. Thanks for understanding!
With sufficient reference, I’m willing to draw just about anything (including smut)! However, I will be more likely to refuse (or charge extra for) things such as:
Anything heavily mechanical
Anything heavily anthropomorphic (furry)
Weird fetishes (you know who you are)
Also, due to the child-or
New Watchers - Thank You!
I normally try to individually thank new watchers, but they've sort of stacked up over the last few months. OTL So to each of you that I haven't been able to greet, thank you for the watch and welcome! I don't seem to post very often, but I hope you like what you see! :la:
Nan Desu Kan 2013
Just a heads up that I have a table at Nan Desu Kan this year and will be there! :la:
I'll be selling all the same books I had at Comic Fest and DCC, as well as the debut of The Good Prince chapter 2 in print (took me long enough)!
I've restocked most of my prints, and there will be a few new ones that I'm still working on. Also, I'll be taking up to 5 Copic commissions this weekend, so come early if you want one!
All in all, it should be a fun time, so if you'll be there, stop by and say hi!
If you show up at the table and mention that you watch me through social media (deviantART, Twitter, Tumblr, Smack Jeeves, etc.), I just might have
Comic Fest 2013!
http://starland.com/wp/comicfest/
My first con in over a year! I will have a table to myself, and will be selling a bunch of new books, including 24 Hour Comics and chapter 1 of The Good Prince, as well as a few new glossy prints!
If you're in the Denver area this weekend, come by and see me! :3

Don't you have a doctor's note so you have weight restrictions? If you don't, you should try to get one.
